Konkurs dotyczący chorób neurodegeneracyjnych otwarty

Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju otworzyło polską część międzynarodowego konkursu JPND. Jest on poświęcony badaniom nad chorobami neurodegeneracyjnymi.
Schorzenia te, jak choroba Alzheimera czy padaczka stają się coraz większym problemem społecznym, zwłaszcza przy rosnącej liczbie osób w wieku średnim i starszym, w społeczeństwach krajów Europy. W konkursie JPND "Multinational research projects for Pathway Analysis across Neurodegenerative Diseases" otwarto nabór wniosków wstępnych, które mają dotyczyć interdyscyplinarnych, innowacyjnych i prowadzonych jako międzynarodowe, badań z następujących zakresów:
- combine experimental approaches from fundamental, pre-clinical and/or clinical Research perform network analyses in different neurodegenerative and/or other chronic diseases to elucidate the underlying common and differing mechanisms between the investigated diseases
- add value to existing research by analysing diseases across traditional clinical boundaries, technologies and disciplines, thereby gaining deeper understanding of the patho-physiological mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases.
Konkursy obejmują badania dotyczące takich chorób, jak: SMA, SCA, choroby demencyjne jak choroba Alzheimera, choroba Parkinsona i pochodne, schorzenia neuronów motorycznych, choroba Huntingtona. Wnioski można składać do 6 marca 2017 roku.
